How the Mixology calculator works

Each herb refines into a fixed amount of one paste type — Mox (Guam, Marrentill, Tarromin, Harralander), Aga (Huasca, Irit, Cadantine, Lantadyme, Dwarf weed, Torstol) or Lye (Ranarr, Avantoe, Toadflax, Kwuarm, Snapdragon). The calculator sizes the paste to your Herblore XP goal, then shows the cheapest herb to make each paste at live prices.

It assumes you fulfil all three potion orders each time for the +40% resin bonus and never skip potions. Reward points come as Mox, Aga and Lye resin, which you spend in the rewards shop — most efficiently on Aldarium (80 Mox / 60 Aga / 90 Lye each).

What Herblore level do you need for Mastering Mixology?

Level 60 Herblore, which is not boostable. Higher levels unlock more potions and slightly faster processing but do not change the paste or XP totals.

What is the best reward from Mastering Mixology?

Aldarium — a Herblore secondary used in high-level potions — gives the best gp value per resin, costing 80 Mox, 60 Aga and 90 Lye resin each. Lye resin is usually the limiting factor.

How much XP per hour is Mastering Mixology?

Roughly 30,000–40,000 Herblore XP per hour at low efficiency and 60,000–70,000 at high efficiency, the difference being the timed clicks that speed up each processing station.
