OSRS Grand Exchange tax calculator

The Grand Exchange charges a 2% sales tax whenever you sell an item. This calculator shows the exact tax and your net received for any sale price and quantity, using the real in-game rules.

How the OSRS GE tax works

The tax is 2% of the sale price, rounded down to the nearest coin, and it is capped at 5,000,000 coins per item no matter how expensive the item is. Items that sell for under 50 coins are exempt, and a few specific items (such as old-school essentials) are exempt entirely. The tax is charged to the seller, so your buyer pays the full price.
